Not sure what the heck I'm talking about? Check out the original post, as well as the last two indie solo RPGs that I've played.

(yes, I still need to record that podcast. ope.)

Currently Playing: Koriko

I've been poking at Koriko for the past week and a bit. I'm very much enjoying my time as a 16-year-old witch on her year in the city of Koriko. The Kiki's Delivery Service vibes are... immaculate.
It's an epistolary* experience where you write in your teenage witch-y journal and also write home to your mentor back in your hometown. This is a CHUNKY journaling game that's going to take up a ton of space in my solo RPG journal, but I'm not mad about it.
*Epistolary games involve the creation of documents, letters, journals, and other ephemera.
Decisions are made using d6 dice to choose the prompt that you're responding to, but the rules are also set up in such a way that you're able to just, y'know, choose from the list of prompts if you prefer.
Later on, once your teenage witch is established in Koriko, you will be able to make complex decisions by stacking dice, as well as build out "lessons" for your witch and track your version of Koriko's map using tarot cards.
Overall, I'm having a wonderful time with the game, but it's chunky.
The next update you'll get from me on Koriko will be about my teenage witch: Clarabell Foxglove.
Stay tuned!
